These terms govern your use of the Axion service — the website at axion.cab, the in-browser app, the community preset gallery, the API, and everything we ship under the Axion name. For the software licence specifically governing your use of the Axion app, see the EULA. By using axion.cab you agree to these terms.
Axion is operated by StreamLink Pty Ltd (ABN 64 615 965 449), an Australian company ("Operator," "we," "us"). Solo-run, indie-scale. Contact: hi@axion.cab.
We know who you are only when you buy a licence or sign in via magic link; we don't run general user accounts beyond that.
Your licence key is yours to keep safe. Treat it like a password — anyone holding it can activate Axion as if they were you. A reasonable activation limit applies (by default, five devices per licence). If you hit the cap because of legitimate use — new laptop, OS reinstall, browser data wiped — email us and we'll reset it.
You may use Axion for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial — playing, recording, performing live, releasing music, teaching, streaming.
You may not:
When you publish a preset to the community gallery, you grant Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, and serve that preset through the gallery and via axion.cab/preset/<slug> deep-link URLs (mirrors EULA §4). You retain full ownership; you may delete any preset you own at any time.
You're responsible for what you share. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share. We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law; we're not obliged to host anything.
If you believe content shared through the community preset gallery infringes your copyright, email hi@axion.cab with:
axion.cab/preset/<slug>);We will review reports promptly and remove or disable access to content where appropriate. We reserve the right to remove any content we believe in good faith may infringe a third party's rights or violate these terms, and to terminate access for users we determine in good faith to be repeat infringers. We may publish a more formal takedown and counter-notice procedure as the service grows.
We aim to keep axion.cab running but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. The app itself runs entirely in your browser once loaded — a brief outage on our end doesn't take your local install offline.
If we permanently shut down the hosted service, the continuity commitment in EULA §2 still applies on the terms set out there — including its feasibility and third-party-redistribution carveouts.
We may add or remove features, change pricing, or otherwise modify the service. Material changes to paid plans are announced at least thirty (30) days in advance via email to affected customers. Features in beta are subject to change without notice.
You can stop using Axion at any time — for the free tier just close the tab; for Pro your local licence keeps working on your installs whether or not you continue to interact with us.
We may suspend or terminate your access to hosted services (the website, the community preset gallery, magic-link sign-in, and any Cloud subscription) for material violations of these terms — for example, egregious abuse, infringement, sharing your licence key publicly, or attempted extraction of proprietary content. Termination for cause does not entitle a refund outside the standard 14-day window.
Suspension or termination under this clause is limited to your access to hosted services. Your perpetual local Pro licence rights over the version of the Software you purchased are governed by the EULA and survive any suspension or termination of hosted-service access. Operator may revoke the Pro licence itself only on the limited grounds set out in EULA §8.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Operator does not warrant uninterrupted operation, fitness for any particular purpose, or absence of defects.
Nothing in this clause excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees, warranties, or other rights and remedies that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable law — including the Australian Consumer Law, UK consumer protections, and EU statutory rights.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Operator's total liability under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for Axion in the twelve (12) months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
Nothing in this clause limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law — including the Australian Consumer Law, UK consumer protections, and EU statutory rights.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Victoria, Australia, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. See EULA §11 for the matching clause covering the Software licence.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at least thirty (30) days in advance via the email address on file for active Pro and Cloud customers. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
